Do a Google search for "DoPDF". It's a freebie program that installs as a "printer" in windows.
It required NO changes to any program - just select DoPDF as the "printer" from the File / Print menu in ANY program - Excel, Word, Pagemaker, Photoshop, a browser, anything. Just select DoPDF as the output device and it makes a PDF instead of printing a page. PDFCreator is another similar program that is available from SourceForge.net and works the exact same way.
