Not true, if we're talking N connectors. N connectors are virtually lossless at UHF & lower frequencies. 2 2 ft. RG-214 jumpers are around 0.2 dB loss, less than the difference between 100 ft. of 1/2" & 7/8" hardline @ 450 MHz. Bob NO6B
