Yup. Not the same situation as this, but close. And yes, it was a dealer 
that has a national presence...

And on the original topic, note that IF the chief (himself, not the 
dept) gets a GMRS license, he can use his UHF radio on the LOWER FRS 
freqs (462.xxxx, not the 467's) at 4W. Communications between GMRS and 
FRS units is legal on those channels.
