I am not one of those people. I rarely use my phone (even though it runs Replicant, i.e. FOSS). Unfortunately, as I mentioned, it is service providers (e.g. banks) that assume everyone must be an idiot running their "app" with all the insane permission requirements. One can't even shop in Lidl without installing their app, unless one wants to pay much more for the same products in the shop. Banks make it deliberately impossible to run their app in a VM. Along these lines, an Android solution seems to be the only option to live in the society (just how that sounds!), especially for other family members who don't understand the dangers. I hope that clarifies my worries. _______________________________________________ Replicant mailing list [email protected] https://lists.osuosl.org/mailman/listinfo/replicant
