Call for entries, with new entry requirements!
The changes in short:
- Entry deadline for international productions is 1 February 2008 (date of
receipt).
- There will be no extensions!
- Preview copies are now only accepted on DVD (with the exception of
submissions via reelport.com).
- DVDs are not accepted as screening prints.
Oberhausen organizes the following competitions. Entries are automatically
forwarded to the right selection committee depending on the country of
production:
International Competition
- Entry deadline 1 February 2008 (date of receipt)
- Open to film and video formats, maximum 35 minutes in length
- Awards totalling 24,000 euros
How do I submit my film?
1. Send a preview copy before the entry deadline, together with all the
required documents, to Oberhausen – or submit the film by the deadline via
www.reelport.com. All titles submitted will be included in the Oberhausen
Video Library catalogue and will be available to industry professionals for
viewing during the festival.
2. Wait until the independent committes have previewed all submissions.
3. Starting 10 April 2008, visit www.kurzfilmtage.de, where on that date a
list of all titles chosen for the competitions will be put online.
4. The Festival invites all filmmakers whose works have been selected for
the competitions to Oberhausen.
5. After the festival, Oberhausen purchases some of the works screened at
the Festival for its international short film distribution.
