And I thought I had a good theory!  Oh well.  You might want to run it
with 'set -x' to see what it's doing.

I just ran it again to get this output.  For some reason I'm not seeing
those joe errors anymore.  I've not looked into it.  The result of this
buildinstall hasn't actually been tested.

Don't forget that you have to run this on an actual console, a remote
login or X terminal won't work.
