Right. but they also take the practical approach for the most part by not telling anyone what they should or shouldn't install. I'm just pointing out that "Best Practice" doesn't really exist in the world, because what's best for you isn't best for me, etc. The leanest system in the world is a target once you plug it in to the network, and start running a service. Security requires a multi-layered approach, and a lot of people forget that.


And there is not only NSA, especially for european users...
