Hi rhelv5-list@ A while back, I had to renew some RHEL subscriptions. I had a few that where using Desktop + Workstation. I paid to upgrade those Desktop subscriptions to Enterprise (Basic Server).
So, I have these two machines that are running RHEL 5 Desktop + Workstation. I want to get them to use the now active RHEL Enterprise Basic Server subscriptions. Red Hat support is telling me that this impossible. I have to backup, reload and restore. Which is a big pain in the butt (I think). So my question is; shouldn't I be able to un-register my Desktop machines, remove the 5Client rpms and then install the 5Server rpms, edit some files and re-register?
