It worked !
I tried this. I just find that I have 2 versions on firefox ? It seems
that for most package I have the 32 and the 64 bits version !
rpm -q --queryformat '%{=NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{ARCH} \n' firefox
firefox-3.0.5-i386
firefox-3.0.5-x86_64
I install the new plugin :
ls -la /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libnpjp2.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 38 Dec 18 13:04
/usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/libnpjp2.so ->
/opt/jre1.6.0_12/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so
And now it works !
Why do I need both version of firefox ?
tx again

Hello,
Is it possible to run java applet in firefox 64 bits ?
I tried using libjavaplugin_oji.so from the 32 bits version and the new
libnpjp2.so from the future 64 bits version of java 1.6.x
but still not applet
any hints ?
I recently installed the 64-bit Sun 1.6.0_12 early access release on my
64-bit Firefox with the new libnpjp2.so plugin and it worked fine (I was
previously using IcedTea/OpenJDK, but it had many issues with some of
the applets I ran, mostly screen redraw problems). I've found the
1.6.0_12 early release to work perfectly well with applets.
Are you sure you installed the plugin correctly? Does the plugin show
up in the "about:plugins" list?
Later,
Tom
