I copy all sa?? files from remote systems to my workstation for
processing. All remote systems are Redhat 5 with sysstat-7.0.2-3.el5. My
workstation is FC10 with sysstat-8.0.4-5.fc10.i386.
When I run sar -f , I get the error
v...@ef ~]$ sar -f sar/jetco-xen/sa/sa11
Invalid system activity file: sar/jetco-xen/sa/sa11 (0x14)
My first guess is newer sar cannot read files of older sar. Anyone
experiences this problem ? I can process these files from their own
servers but then I have to update all the scripts to the remote systems
when the sripts are changed/updated.
Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
