I know its been a while since anyone mentioned anything on this issue.. but i was just googling the same thing and came across this topic. I also figured it out.
from the alt-F2 console i chrooted to the installed environment chroot /mnt/sysimage i then tried to run my expect script, to which i was presented with no ptys error. so i ran through my expect script manually expect spawn /bin/bash this is where my ptys error appeared. so i googled ptys error, someone on a similar topic suggested mount |grep /dev/pts, this returned nothing for me so i gave mount /dev/pts a go voila! expect works. seems logical now really, if there are no pseudo terminals then it can't use one. i now have mount /dev/pts in my kickstart %post section which works a treat _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
