I does, but if you use it today you will be placed into a minority. And that
it is not good if you work with production servers. I recommend to stick
with the stable supported software. I don't think that Red Hat will adopt
GRUB2 in the near future.

There are distributions like Ubuntu server that uses grub2 by default,
Debian uses it but on the testing version.
