When I debug my Swing application by Eclipse at my linux workstation, the
keyboard and mouse are grabbed sometimes.

After adding the option “AllowDeactivateGrabs” in file Xorg.conf, I could
deactivate the keyboard and mouse by Ctrl + Alt + Keypad “/”.

However, if I setup a vnc server session in my linux workstation and connect to
it by vnc viewer from my Windows XP workstation, the Ctrl + Alt + Keypad “/”
could not work to deactivate the keyboard and mouse if they are grabbed.

I have to sit down before my linux workstation to debug my program.

It seems the vnc server or vnc viewer doesn’t support the Ctrl + Alt + Keypad
“/” to deactivate the keyboard and mouse in linux workstation remotely.

This is annoying because I have to always sit before my linux workstation to
debug my program and could not debug it remotely from home or other office.

Could anyone help me to solve this issue?

My linux workstation is running "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client release
5.3(Tikanga)".

The vnc server running on the linux is "vnc-server-4.1.2-14.el5".

I'm using a windowsXP running the vnc viewer. I have tried several vnc viewer
versions from V3.3.7 to E4.5.4.

Best regards,

Henson
