Hi,

Thanks  for your  reply.

I think ipmi controls  the watchdog.

Few of our  servers  rebooted and the hp ilo log  says  only  reset.  There
was  some testing on the network on the nfs file systestems
So i am guessing it might happen  due to the watchdog as watchdog catch
problemes with machines mounting most or all of their directory
tree via NFS or similar means of remote file systems...

Do you think that we need to start the ipmi  daemon  in the servers?

Thanks again

root    7     1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/1]
root    10   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/2]
root    13   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/3]
root    16   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/4]
root    19   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/5]
root    22   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/6]
root    25   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/7]
root    28   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/8]
root    31   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/9]
root    34   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/10]
root    37   1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/11]
root    40    1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/12]
root    43    1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/13]
root    46    1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/14]
root    49    1 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [watchdog/15]
root    69    67 0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 [xenwatch]
root 10880 10877  0 Nov03 ?    00:00:00 cdcwatch 10877 -F -M

The OS is rhel5 86_64

Can anyone pl. guide me from where these processes are being controlled?  Did
not find any watchdog deamon.  Is it related to
ipmi?

Recently few servers  got rebooted so trying to figure it out.

Thanks in advalnce..

Thanks in advance
