Brian Leathem resolved RF-12400.
--------------------------------
Fix Version/s: (was: 4.3.0.Milestone2)
Resolution: Won't Fix
This is non-trivial to implement, and I don't think worth the time (iow dev
time is better spent resolving issues) as using converters to work with objects
in JSF is a common pattern.
> Inform a developer when raw objects without converter are used as a model for
> rich:pickList

> When a developer uses _List<Object>_ instead of _List<SelectItem>_ as a model
> for rich:pickList, the converter is required. However the rich:pickList works
> correctly without it in many cases. It would be nice to raise a warning (for
> example) when the converter is not set to inform the developer that he/she
> should use it.
