I'm working on Krio, a KDE-based utility that uses the SBA's Rio C++
class. Because it uses the SBA's code directly rather than exec()ing
the rio utility, I'm hesatant to call it a "front-end". It is also safe
to leave suid root unlike the SBA's rio utility.
Krio can be found at http://kyle.13th-floor.org/2.0/krio/index.html
If KDE isn't your thing, try searching on freshmeat... a quick search
for "rio x11" turned up 4 or 5 front-ends.

The former happens only once. The latter will be with us for years."
