Newbie with file lock ?s

Hey All,       This is my first time posting to this list, so if I break some arcane rules of list etiquette, please forgive me.       Right now I'm hacking away with code from the MDM.  Is there a way to make it so that files cannot be removed from the Rio (I'm testing on a Rio 500)?  The Diamond customer support response was "the Rios do not support file transfer to a computer."  Maybe Rio Audio Manager for Windows doesn't, but the Linux software does let you transfer whatever you want out of the device.  Is there any way to counteract this?   Thanx,   Mike Brame [EMAIL PROTECTED]
