Hi,

you're right to take the time get your tagging sorted out first! Like
many others here, I've recently finished ripping hundreds of CDs and
you really don't want to have to do that twice!

It sounds from your comments that your files don't have any tags in
them? Having a good tagging program to hand to check - and where
necessary fix errors - is a good start. There are many! Personally I
use mp3tag (free download). You can use this to manually insert some
tags to assure yourself that Slimserver will read tags if there are
any.

I'm not familiar with MARS, so can't help with fixing tagging errors
(if any). Like a lot of others here, I use EAC (with MAREO in my case
to control multiple encoding programs).

If slimserver is still showing files you have deleted, try a "wipe
cache" (server settings - performance).

Hope this helps - I've found this well worth persevering with: it took
me a while to get set up the way I want but I'm now a convert and have
just bought my second squeezebox2...

Good luck
