I use uncompressed WAVs, I'm a bit of an audio skeptic when it comes down to it, and although I accept the argument that nothing is lost with FLAC, I still think that the less processing the better. Disk space is cheap, and flac doesn't give you quite the advantages of mp3 when it comes to mass storage. So in seeking audio nirvana, I think each little thing is important from the data source through to output cables. The sound quality of the SB2 is reasonable, but not that special in standard form. Does it allow for hearing the difference between wav and flac, I doubt it; following tweaks and upgrades however, it just might, or not: either way I want to have the option.
