The major benefit of FLAC is that it is LOSSLESS - the data that the
SB2 outputs is *exactly* the same as the data that was on the CD.  If
you normalize the data when ripping, you're actually changing the data
from that which was on the original CD... hence tossing the whole point
of being "lossless" in the bin.

If you're after lossless data, rip to FLAC with no normalization, and
then use metaflac to add album-wide ReplayGain information to the FLAC
files.
