True. I should have mentioned that I'm using my Squeezebox to add audio to a room that until recently had no audio system. Its not the main listening room, so the quality of the audio isn't as important as in the living room. I've hooked up a Squeezebox to an older NAD amplipher and some extra speakers. The whole setup is stereo only, so I don't mind the lack of 5.1/6.1 audio this conversion yields. I typically use the stereo mix on a SACD of DVD-A when doing this, so I'm only downsampling the stereo stream, not remixing as well. To me, the results are "good enough". If I want to listen to the extra resulotion (or the surround mix) I use the original disc in the living room, not the squeezebox. -Barry -- bearklaw ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bearklaw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2422 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18213 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
