when you do flac --replay-gain on a single track it
calculates the album gain as if the track were the
whole album, so the track gain and album gain will
always be the same. if you check your collection
you'll probably find that is the case.
the only way to calculate the correct album gain is
to analyze all tracks at once as JJZolx wrote.
