Thanks again. Yes I have tried cleaning the disc. It sometimes works well (I usually clean the disc before ripping anyway), but on this particular one, nothing going. I'll try the burst mode.
As for renaming classical tracks, I looked at Tag&Rename, but the interface is scary ... I'll have too read the help file carefully.
