I've just done a cursory search & there are over 600 songs on my computer with a ( in the filename and the song title tag. Mixture of MP3 and ogg vorbis formats. I've never had a problem playing any of them, using SB2 and: SlimServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5194 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252
Maybe it's a FLAC issue? Try encoding as MP3 and see if it's still a problem. As you say, if it's a genuine bug, it should be submitted. You can check if it has been and if not do it yourself at bugs.slimdevices.com.
