Thanks for all the replies. I understand that it doesn't really affect the files in anyway, just sets the tags. I think my question was more related to Foobar than anything. So, just by running the replay gain within Foobar it automatically goes for the 89dB level, correct? You don't have to set any "default" levels?
Also, using the command-line Flac encoding parameter of "--replay-gain" basically sets album levels to this magic number of 89dB also? I think I became confused because the first thing you see in MP3Gain is the 89dB default level clearly marked which can be easily changed.
