FWIW, I find this works for me when it comes to classical music:
1. Insert composer's name in composer field.
2. Insert orchestra/ensemble name in Band/Orchestra/Album Artist
field.
4. Insert conductor's name in conducter field (For the hell of it.)
5. I leave the Artist tag empty unless the piece is performed by an
individual or there is a soloist (i.e. piano music).
6. Instruct SlimServer to include composers in Browse by Artist.
