Okay thanks. Now I've just ripped a WAV file using EAC uncompressed
(secure), then encoded it to a FLAC file using FLAC's front end. When
I first configured EAC for compression, it was very technical and
required concentration and assistance. But to rip an uncompressed WAV
file, I made no changes to any of my EAC configuration settings. And
the FLAC front-end took me 3 seconds to configure, then I encoded the
WAV file to FLAC and was done. Because I'm a beginner, can someone
reassure me I'm not missing something. Before I spend the time to rip
and encode my entire CD collection, I wish to choose the method
carefully and then not have to think about it again. Comments are most
appreciated.
