Have a look in the Wiki or search the forums. Plenty of guides and
advice about. Basically EAC is a good bet if you use Windows.

Personal preference. I prefer seperate tracks becuase I like to browse
the file structure and choose individual tracks when I'm on the
computer.

In terms of gapless playback, FLAC supports it and so does the
Squeezebox so there will be no gaps as long as you are playing FLAC
through the Squeezebox. If anything, seperate tracks have a slight
advantage in that you can fast forward/rewind through them whereas I
understand this is not possible with the image/cue sheet scenario.

MP3 does not support gapless playback, which is why you will hear
audible jumps or gaps.

When copying albums to my MP3 player I use Foobar2000 to convert the
individual FLAC files to a single MP3 file, which ensures there are no
gaps on live or mix albums.

I would have thought so but I can't be sure since I don't have any
image files.
