Hi all, I'm looking to jump in and want to ask a question or two. 1) Which particular guide do you suggest for bit perfect AND lossless rips to FLAC, of my average sided (400CD) collection. I want bit perfect without added time gaps in playback.
2) Do you suggest ripping to tracks or an image with a cue sheet? I hate it when listening to the odd MP3 album that I have when gaps appear between tracks and they shouldn't be there (Pink Floyd or Dance music as an example)DOES THIS OCCUR WHEN ENCODING AS INDIVIDUAL TRACKS? (sorry for shouting)I need more info and cant find it stated clearly anywhere. 3) Can albums ripped as images with cue sheets have individual tracks added to now playing playlist? What I'm after is to be able to listen to my music as i hear it from my current system whithout added gaps or reduced gaps where they should be (when I want to listen to whole albums), and to create temporary playlists for moments I want to have a party or variety. I'll be buying a QNAP TS-101 300Gb to use as my music server, its a passivly cooled NAS with slimserver preinstalled. Not the cheapest but everything should be there bar the music.... Thanks in advance of any replies.
