Not 100% sure if Foobar2000 will preserve the tags from ALAC to FLAC, i would think so though. I'm currently converting about 12000 tracks from FLAC to AAC for my K750i...not exactly the quickest task in the world, A couple more days should do it though. Converting this way does preserve the tags.
