The vapor has condensed, I hope. Here are two Perl scripts. Documentation is in the files themselves. As I don't have a website and they are short, plain text files, I'm just attaching them here. It looks like I will have to add ".txt" to satisfy the forum software; they should be ".pl" .
I'd be glad to hear if you find them useful; if you would find them (more) useful if only ...; if they don't work; if they do work ... Zten, it sounds like you might use this by creating your playlists however you like, text-editing them to add #WORK= comments, and then just using shuffleworks to permute them. Ceejay, given how you have defined Albums, you should be ready to fly by running makeworks to make a database and then shuffleworks to sample it. Somebody, I hope, will want to explore the possibilities of adding WORK tags with your favorite tag editor. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: shuffleworks.pl.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1061| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- tom permutt ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tom permutt's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1893 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22079 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
