A while back, when I got into FLAC'ing my music collection, I wrote a .NET console app that runs through a directoy hierarchy and (based on the existing of a file) runs metaflac across the entire album.
The idea was to keep the ripping process separate from calculating replay gain. Ripping is quite a manual process to get it right, and I didn't want another time consuming process at the end. Instead, I would just run this console app at night and it would metaflac the newly added material. It is a bit rough (and needs to be dusted off), but would this interest the community? Even better yet: one of you will say: "I use this pre-existing tool" ;) If so, I'll clean it up and post it somewhere. -- Robert W.
