Thanks for reminding me about the Wiki. It did not answer, however, a follow-up question I have: is there any practical usefulness to embed the very same albumart file in all mp3 files that belong to the same album (assuming that the cd is ripped into a separate mp3 for every track)? as compared to have just one copy as "cover.jpg" in the folder of the album.
Lets say an average albumart file is 25KB x 10 tracks = 250KB Multiply this by say 1000 albums you have about 240MB of albumart that is scanned as compared to 24MB if you only have the one file in the album folder.
