I'm going to be burning some audio CDs, and I'd like to do what I can to make sure they will play on conventional players. From a recent search on hydrogenaudio.org, here is what I have:
1. Use good media. I just had some blanks silk screened and they are supposed to be on Taiyo Yuden, which is supposed to be good. 2. Use Disc-at-once - finalize the disc. 3. Try burning at lower speeds, if there are problems. I'm intending to use burrrn with a .wav image of the disc and a .cue sheet. Anything else I should consider? If I need to get a new drive, are any especially good at burning compatible audio CDs? (I tried looking on cdfreaks for info, but I have a hard time with their forums.) Thanks, -- Timothy (Yes, I know that replicated/pressed is the way to go for compatibility. This is original music with binaural beats to be used for meditation, massage, etc. I want to be able to do customized one-offs.) -- TimothyB ------------------------------------------------------------------------ TimothyB's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4868 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24237 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
