If its new take it back to the shop and demand a refund......... if it isn't and you have a mate with a hi-fi CD recorder, copy it with this, you will then be able to rip it.
I saw man American guy frothing a while back, stating he wasn't going to spend a cent on music he didn't own, and I'm with him on that. I've been making compilation tapes since I was 7 (33 years ago), why should some greedy record exec decide I can't do this with a product I've purchased, at a rather inflated price in the UK, may I add.
