This seems about the best forum for this odd question.  What are the
minimum and maximum temperatures that CDs can be stored at without
damage?  For that matter, how about DVDs and computer and general
consumer electronics equipment?  In a couple months I'll be moving far
away from my home for (I hope) 3-5 years, but storing a lot of stuff
here.  Much of it will be stored in my garage, but I'm uncertain about
the above mentioned items with regard to temperature extremes.  It's
typically mild where I live, but summer temperatures can reach 100
degrees F, while in winter it can occasionally get down to 0 (F).  Due
to its orientation, the garage does stay somewhat cooler than that
maximum, although I'm certain that it will actually dip down to that
extreme low in the winter.

Will my stuff survive those occasional extremes, or should I get a
small climate controlled storage unit somewhere?
