I have ripped about 1700 albums and have had similar problems. As a last resort I have played them back on a CD player and fed the SPDIF output into the PC letting the audio error correction do its work. Not ideal but it has rescued a couple. Just goes to show that CD's are not as safe as we have been led to believe.
Finally I have a backup on external disks so these problems should be a thing of the past.
