Just thought I'd bump this thread.  I've just installed Rockbox on my
iPod, and it was very easy to get up and running.  I can now play
FLACs; while this was the main raison d'etre, the number of games
(including DOOM, asteroids, sudoku, there are dozens) is also nice.

I'll report on battery life when I have been out with it, but that's
not a real issue to me - I can use a charger at work, so it's just the
travelling - that's only half an hour :)
