Hi everyone,

Happy new year! Hope you can help me. I am a newbie to this and I am
trying to configure EAC to rip to the highest quality MP3 possible and
also in the most usable/appropriate for SB3 use.

Intended use for these MP3s in the short term is PC/portable players,
but in the future also be used through a SB3 (when I can convince the
wife we need one!)

Reading though the configuration guide for EAC on the SB Wiki, it
recomends using the following command line option:

(1.) EAC (FLAC?): -6 -V -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "album=%g" -T
"date=%y" -T "tracknumber=%n" -T "genre=%m" -T comment="%e" -T
"comment=EAC (Secure Mode)" %s --replay-gain

However, it then says if you wish to rip to MP3 follow the same config
but change the CL options to those found here:

(2.) HydrogenAudio (MP3): -b 320 --add-id3v2 --pad-id3v2 --ta "%a" --tt
"%t" --tl "%g" --ty "%y" --tn "%n" %s %d

Now, I don't understand the whole 'tags' thing yet, but it strikes me
that (2.) is probably a good config for MP3 for generic players, but
not for SB.

Question: Please could someone supply me with the correct command line
that both rips best quality MP3, but also rips the correct tags etc for
SB?

Hope this makes sense, please let me know if not.

Thanks in advance, Nigel
