Good idea with comparing the WAVs of successive runs, I imagine this will show differences (ie. errors) in the rips. You mean compare byte by byte using a tool, or a listening test? What compare tool do you use for the purpose? My stereo is a Mark Levinson amplifier-CD combination (390S CD, 26S pre-amp, 333 power amp) and Wilson WATT/Puppy 6 speakers. The Squeezebox is connected to the digital input of the 390S. It's quite OK for most purposes...
