Be thankful. On my last (ever?) Windows installation, that "blinking" actually changed focus. So whatever you were doing, it would pop back to EAC. You'd switch...and then it would pop right back.
Used to do this for 20 or 30 times before the focus on another window actually "stuck". Drove me crazy. But now that I'm on Linux, I miss EAC.
