Yea, I had an 8x CD-R tower (scsi drives) that used to be a disc duplicator, but the duplicating controller died, so I just unplugged it and re-wired the drives to a normal PC with some external scsi cables. Being able to rip 8 at a time was great, but the drives were slow as hell, and a couple would lock up from time to time. I eventually ditched it for 4x Lite-On DVD burners, which turns out to be faster than the 8x tower.
