Yes, I have used Grip.  My main problem with it is that it doesn't log. 
The only indication is a little happy face.  Once the rip is complete,
you have no idea where Grip encountered errors.

RubyRipper logs, and as a bonus, can encode to multiple formats.  A
recent improvement is a local disc cache, so if you change tag data for
a particular disc, the changes remain if you have to rip the disc again.
