I don't know if it's still the case, but when I first started using SlimServer, I found that two different paths to the same file *did* work, but often led to it appearing twice in the library. > Slimserver also currently doesn't support relative paths for playlists, > you have to use an absolute path. I don't think this is true: my playlists mainly have relative paths. I was very glad of this when I moved all my music to a separate drive! However, most of them sit at the root of my music folder (so in SS settings my music folder and playlist folder are the same); the few that don't only refer to files local to their folder (e.g. under the same artist).
