Hi everybody I access music on my SB3 through the Artist menu option and then through Album. I'd really like to display albums by year rather than alphabetically, but I'm having trouble (no problem on Squeezecenter though - the sort option does this with no trouble).
I spent the whole of this afternoon with Mr Google trying to find a way to show albums by date - with the best option seeming to be through the ALBUMSORT tag. However, despite trying this I think I'm going wrong somewhere: In MP3tag I've right clicked on the column headings and selected 'Customise Columns...' I've then clicked on 'New' and created a column called ALBUMSORT with 'Value' %Artist% %year% %album%, nothing in 'Field' and %Artist% %year% %album% in 'Sort'. This gives me a column with entries such as: Uriah Heep 1977 Firefly However, when I rescan SC (as I've done about ten times today!) the albums are still showing alphabetically in SB. Any help gratefully received!
