I've had this issue also (FLAC-files). IMO it's always somewhere in the tags. In my experience, the album artist is a nuisance here: this tag should be the same for all tracks. Not all tagging programs handle this tag well. Most of them name the tag ALBUMARTIST, but some make a second calle ALBUM ARTIST (I think MediaMonkey is one of them).
I have never seen this with a rip made with dbPoweramp. But, although the metadata of dbPoweramp are very good, you have to be careful with multiple discs. If you want them to be treated as one album, you have to delete the Disc 1 and Disc 2 from the album title (to make sure the album title is the same) and fill the disc tag with the appropriate value (1/2, 2/2, etc.) if it is not already there. And it really gets messy if the metadata for different discs for one set come from different sources.
