If WMP is directed to your music folder, it seems to automatically resize all album art down to 200x200 pixels. Also writes an 'albumartsmall.jpg' into the same folder. Seems to be more prevalent in Vista than in Xp for some reason. I found a way of stopping this & report it here in case anyone else has the same issue. Open properties on your music folder & go to security tag. Under users you'll see WMPNetworksvc. Edit permissions & click on the 'deny' to prevent this service from modifying files in the music folder. Seems to work for me.
PS, as I had written all album art into the music files themselves, I was able to resurrect the larger album art files automatically by deleting all folder.jpg files & then using Tag& Rename to extract the folder.jpg from the music files. WMP does not alter the album art that is actually embedded into the music file Dan -- chinablues ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chinablues's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7955 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53007 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
