Thanks for this. I just downloaded a sample track from Linn Records this morning to see if my SB3/CA DacMagic could cope with this, but the DAC was saying the signal was 44.1 KHz, and not the higher sample rate I was expecting.
So I've downloaded the Linn sample CD, with tracks at varying sample rates and bit-lengths (as FLAC files); could you explain how to convert these into WAV so I can pass through the raw signal from my SB3 into my DAC unadulterated? I thought I'd take a look at this 'hidef' audio stuff as there is such a lot about it in the audio press, but I'd be a bit disapointed if I can't use it through the SB3. In case it helps, this is my setup: Squeezecenter 7 running on Mac OS X -> wired ethernet into a Squeezebox 3 --> digital coax into Cambridge Audio DacMagic --> amp. The DacMagic can take an incoming 16-24 bit audio signal at a sample frequency of 32/44.1/48/88.2/96kHz. Thanks for your help. -- marksw ------------------------------------------------------------------------ marksw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15309 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=53647 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
