First, by crap I mean crap quality...not crap musically. Hey, I've got a legacy of 32000+ tracks here to pass on to my children/grandchildren. No problems they saying 'how could he listen to that music', but big problems if they wondered about my ears listening to distorted MP3s.
And second, say you've downloaded 1000 Top Hits of the 80's (piratebay) & you find you have about 3-500 of these files in FLAC or anyway, higher than 128kbit format. I agree with all the posters, I can do it 'one at a time', using any of the tools mentioned, but just sometimes I gotta get a life. I was scouring the bottom of the barrel here hoping someone knew of an obscure app that could do at least part of the thinking for me. And third. Who voted this thread as a high 5!
