I have Music IP (full version), MP3Tag, EF Duplicate MP3 Finder and Tag&Rename. EF Duplicate MP3 finder (also does FLACs & other formats) is pretty good at finding the duplicates. Finding the duplicates is easy...but that's not the problem. Example:
128kbit, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Could You Be Loved, Top 1000 Pop Hits of the 80's, Pop, Album Art: picxyz.jpg. FLAC, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Could You Be Loved, Legend, Reggae, Album Art: picabc.jpg So, different resolution, same artist, same track, different album, different genre, different album art, etc. Yes, I have many applications that can find these two copies of the same track, but what I'm looking for is 'something' that will allow me to copy the FLAC file into the folder of the 128kbit file, modify the tag info to match the tag info of the folder the file is being moved to...Or at least the app I'd be looking for would do most of the work & allow me to click on the 'OK do the copy' button. And Yes, I can do this manually, but its a bitch given the number of duplicates I have. Lets say I have four copies of 'Could You Be Loved', 128, 196 and 320 kbit MP3 plus the FLAC. I'd like always to have my system 'play the best' available file...whichever album I selected...even if it means copying the FLAC file into all three MP3 folders..... I can see from the responses that either I'm not explaining my need accurately enough, or that no one's heard of an application that will do what I'm looking for. In which case, (no one knows of an app which can do the functionality), this should be the end of the thread. Thanks though for the comments ! dan -- chinablues ------------------------------------------------------------------------ chinablues's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7955 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54440 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
